Dry scalp, especially with season changes, leads to both itching and flaking.  This can be uncomfortable and unsightly, especially when wearing dark colored clothing.

Scalp masks can be a simple tool and made at home to help rehydrate your scalp when it needs it most!

Ingredients

2 tbs of Coconut Oil

1 tbs of Shea Butter

1 tsp of Argan Oil

Steps

In a microwave safe bowl, mix coconut oil with shea butter.  Melt in the microwave for 10-15 seconds.  Mix in the argan oil.

Scalp masks for hydration are meant for your scalp and not necessarily your hair.  They are safe for your hair but the goal is to treat the scalp.

Part your dry hair down the middle.  Take about a tsp of mask and massage down the scalp and extend your fingers about 1-2 inches away from the midline.

Part your hair again left or right of the midline and repeat.  Part your hair just above your ear and repeat.

Allow the mask to sit for 1-2 hours.  Shampoo and condition with your routine products.

Remember - healthy scalps make healthy hair!
