I have had patients come in with dental floss still stuck to their tags after a week of waiting for them to fall off. It’s so fast for this procedure to be performed in office and some insurances even cover the removal that it is worth inquiring about. That being said, taking into consideration the risk for bleeding, infection, and scarring, recognize that tackling your own skin tags based on the size and location of the tags carries risks.
